Anna McDougall

About

Ms McDougall obtained her medical degree from Barts and The London School of Medicine in 2012 and embarked on specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the North Central and East London Deanery. On completion of this, Ms McDougall undertook a prestigious fellowship at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in Complex Endometriosis and Robotic Gynaecology Surgery. She was appointed as a consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology with special interest in endometriosis at East & North Hertfordshire NHS Trust in 2024.

Ms McDougall is a keen medical educator and actively contributes to surgical training through the British Society of Endoscopy (BSGE), Chelsea Centre for Minimally Invasive Gynaecology (CCMIG) and more recently in the East of England Deanery. Her passion for teaching and training others was recognised during training with the NCEL RCOG Trainee Trainer of The Year Award.

Evidence based medicine underpins Ms McDougall’s practice, she has numerous peer reviewed publications and regularly presents at both national and international forums on minimal access surgery, fibroids and endometriosis.

Outside of medicine Ms McDougall is a qualified yoga teacher and has taught on yoga for pelvic pain management. This holistic approach underpins her practice.
